Description
The cure time can considerably be reduced by pretreatment with WeiconLOCK Activator F, which is recommended for all passive surfaces and which is indispensable at low ambient temperatures (+10 Deg.C/+50 Deg.F and bellow) and for large gaps. On nonmetallic surfaces, WeiconLOCK is made effective by using the activator.Surface pre-treatment:In general, WeiconLOCK does not require special pre-treatment as slightly oily surfaces (e.g. on as received parts) will be tolerated.However, best esults will be achieved on cleaned, degreased parts(use Weicon Surface Cleaner). If required, the parts should be slightly roughened. Processing:Spray WeiconLOCK Activator F on one of the cleaned surfaces of the parts to be bonded. If you use the Activator F in liquid form, use a brush to apply the product. With bigger bonding gaps and/or porous or rough materials, the Activator F must be applied on both surfaces. Let it evaporate for approx. 2 minutes at room temperature (+20 Deg.C). After activating, the parts should be bonded quickly. Renewed contamination of the surface prior to bonding should be avoided.
