Bostik A175 White Adhesive & Grout is a ready-to-use, two-in-one formulation specifically developed for all sizes of ceramic wall tiles in areas subject to frequent wetting and condensation. Ideal for showers, kitchens and bathrooms. Suitable for fixing onto most surfaces including plaster, plaster board, glazed tiles, brick and cement renders, provided they are rigid and clean. Bostik A175 White Adhesive & Grout is not suitable for floors or sites of constant immersion e.g. swimming pools. Do not apply in temperatures below 5 Deg.C.

Preparation:

  • Surfaces must be rigid, dry, flat, clean, and free from paint, grease, dust or any loose flaky material
  • Remove wallpaper, other paint and any other weakly bonded finishes
  • Prime plaster with a diluted Bostik Flexibond 1 part Flexibond to 2 parts water. Allow to dry until a dry film has formed. Drying time will be dependent upon ambient conditions
  • Loosely nail a wooden batten horizontally to the wall at least one tile height from the lowest point you are tiling to e.g. skirting board. Use a spirit level to ensure batten is level
  • Try to ensure that it is not necessary to cut thin pieces of tile above or below the batten as this can look untidy. If possible, cut tiles should be placed in corners and edges where they are not so noticeable
  • Measure tile widths across the batten then mark a vertical line with a plumb line down the centre of the area to be tiled. Mark the wall behind the string line and loosely nail the wooden batten vertically to the wall along the marks. Check the batten is vertical with the spirit level
  • Application:

  • Do not apply at temperatures below 5 Deg.C

    • Mould resistant two in one formulation
    • For areas subject to frequent wetting and condensation
    • Ideal for kitchens and bathrooms
