Dap High Heat Fire Resistant Mortar is a non-combustible silicate cement for applications in wood frame construction where an ASTM E136 non-combustible sealant is required, such as filling around vents, pipes, ducts and chimneys at ceiling and/or floor level prior to the application of drywall products. It has been tested in accordance with ASTM E136 and withstands temperatures up to 2000°F. It can also be used to patch chipped or cracked firebrick in fireplaces or wood-burning stoves. It adheres firmly to firebrick when wet or dry and sets rock hard when fired. Easy water clean-up. Interior use only.
