Description
ER316L filler rods are low-carbon austenitic stainless steel welding consumables used for TIG (GTAW) welding of 316 and 316L stainless steels and similar molybdenum-bearing alloys. The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation, improving resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding. With added molybdenum, the weld metal offers excellent resistance to pitting and chemical corrosion, making it suitable for marine, chemical, food-processing, and pharmaceutical equipment fabrication.
